Stonehill College Video Production Studio / Studio Lighting, N. Easton, MA.

The Stonehill College video production control room and studio lighting installation is a step by step HD upgrade with the purpose of of attracting future students to their growing facilty and media program.

The new segment of the build entailed an energy efficient lighting studio, which gives the students the ability to produce white light, RGB color-changing light, backlight, keylight, as well as various curtain combinations for set displays. Videssence Soft Spot lights with phase dimming and control and Chauvet RGBW multi-color fixtures were featured among other products. An ETC Smartfade DMX Console controls the lighting which was mounted on a custom pipe and grid design that also supported 10'x40' black and tan velour curtains as well as chroma-key green.

Stonehill's upgraded control room is now equiped with a Newtek Tricaster TC455, AJA KiPro Rack digital recorder, Yamaha 16 channel digital audio mixture, and ClearCom MS702 main station intercom system. The switcher and related equipment along with the monitors are housed in a Marco 5 bay custom console. Existing cameras were integrated with new Prompter People Telepromters and Fujinon zoom and focus modules. Subsequent camera upgrade scheduled for phase two in the first half of 2014.
